As a collaborative pianist, it is my goal to support each fellow musician in his or her effort to present an artistic, professional, and pleasing musical experience for all participants – whether performer or listener.
My first experience as a collaborative pianist was at 12 years old. My piano teacher was the minister of music for a local church and she was preparing her adult choir for an Easter cantata. That experience was pivotal. There is something very special about artistic, musical collaboration, and I have been seeking out and enjoying those opportunities ever since.
