Collaborative Piano Fees

General Fee Information for Collaborative Piano Services

The fees listed below are a starting place. I have always believed that music is better played as a “team sport” and that access to collaboration with other musicians should not be cost-prohibitive. I will do my best to be as flexible as possible to meet the need of the moment.

***There will be an additional $25 flat fee assessed to your total fees if I need to bring my own digital piano and related equipment.***

General Hourly Rate…………….$50 per hour
(this fee applies only to our time together –  my personal practice time is on my own dime)

Suzuki Repertoire (flat rate, includes one rehearsal and performance; additional rehearsals will be charged at my hourly rate)
        Suzuki Book 1…………………$10
        Suzuki Books 2-3…………… $25
        Suzuki Books 4-5…………… $40
        Suzuki Books 6-10…………. $50

Suzuki Supplemental Repertoire will also be charged the flat rate based on which Suzuki level is associated with the supplemental piece. For example, all supplementary violin repertoire for students in books 6, 7, and 8, would be charged $50 per piece, according to the chart above.

Master Class ……………………….$50 (flat rate, includes one rehearsal and performance and is subject to negotiation depending upon the difficulty of the piece and amount of notice given to prepare; additional rehearsals will be charged at my hourly rate)

Audition/Competition……………$50 (flat rate, includes one rehearsal and performance and is subject to negotiation depending upon the difficulty of the piece and amount of notice given to prepare; additional rehearsals will be charged at my hourly rate)

Recitals and Juries  (flat rate, includes negotiated number of rehearsal(s) and is subject to change depending upon the difficulty of the piece(s) and amount of notice given to prepare)
        One piece ……………………….$50
        Two pieces ……………………..$75
        1/2 recital…………………….. $150
        Full recital……………………. $300

Collaboration and support in private lessons will be negotiated on a case by case basis

Choral Accompaniment is generally charged at my hourly rate, but is negotiable. An invoice will be provided once a mutually agreed upon fee has been determined. 

Accompaniment Recordings will be negotiated on a case by case basis, using the fees listed above as a guide. Recordings will be provided as an mp3 file unless an alternate form is specifically requested, and will be tailored to your specific needs.

Other Special Events will be negotiated based on hourly rate and distance travelled.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

These fees assume a piano is provided at your venue/location. Should I need to bring my own digital piano and related equipment, I will charge an additional $25 for each rehearsal and performance. 

Music should be provided at least 10 days in advance of our first rehearsal, along with all pertinent performance date/time/place information. Music can either be hand-delivered, mailed, or emailed as a .pdf file. (There are several good, free scanning apps available for mobile devices that will easily create .pdf files, or click here for my contact information.) The more advanced the repertoire, the more preparation time is required for the best possible performance. Providing music at the last minute may result in higher fees or worse — a stressful, unpolished performance.

Fees should be paid in full in advance of any performance, when possible. If the performance is cancelled, payment for rehearsal time at my hourly rate will be assessed.

I accept the following forms of payment:

  • Cash
  • Checks (Checks should be made out to “Traci Hall,” and should include the performance date on the memo portion of the check.)
  • Venmo – my user name is Traci-Hall-6
  • PayPal – my user name is THall828 (additional processing fee will be applied)
  • CashApp – my user name is $hallsrus
  • Square card reader (additional processing fee will be applied, depending upon the type of transaction)  

I do reserve the right to refuse performance if payment has not been received prior to performing. 

Late Payments:
If I have still not received payment within two weeks after the performance, an additional $10 late charge will be added for each subsequent week until payment is rendered in full.
