Music Lesson Fees

30-minute lesson …………..$35
45-minute lesson …………..$45
60-minute lesson …………..$50

While many music teachers charge a flat rate per month or per semester, I have opted to continue charging per lesson. I do, however, require my students and their families to commit to weekly lessons and daily practice. Illness, family emergency, and other circumstances do happen — to me as well as to my students and their families. That is a fact of life that requires flexibility and understanding.

Frequency of Payment. There are two options for frequency of payment — per lesson or per month. “Per lesson” is self-explanatory. If you prefer the “per month” payment method, then at the end of the month, I will prepare and send an invoice listing the lessons attended that month and the total amount due. Upon receipt of the invoice, payment will be expected within 7 days. Should payment be late, an additional $10 late charge will be added for each subsequent week of non-payment. If there is a problem with payment, however, please do not hesitate to talk to me about it. I am certain we can work something out.

Acceptable Methods of Payment. I accept the following forms of payment:

  • Cash
  • Checks (Checks should be made out to “Traci Hall,” and should include the student’s name on the memo portion of the check.)
  • Venmo – my user name is Traci-Hall-6
  • PayPal – my user name is THall828 (additional processing fee added for each transaction)
  • CashApp – my user name is $hallsrus
  • Square card reader (additional processing fee, depending upon the type of transaction)

Special Note. I have always believed music education should not be cost-prohibitive and am always open to more creative forms of payment — bartering, for example. I have been known to accept farm fresh eggs, produce, and housecleaning as a trade for music lessons. We can always work something out. Make me an offer!
